We bought 8 of these for out outdoor living area. We'd tried another stool that we liked the looks better, but had a flat bottom and wasn't very comfortable to sit on. These have a curved bottom that are much more comfortable to sit on. Though these aren't meant for outside, since we've a covered area with 1 1/2/ walls open, I'm hoping these do well, in a partially indoor area. They're made with Acadia wood which is supposed to good for building outdoor furniture. Again, not that these chairs themselves are meant for outdoors (I don't expect these ever to get wet), but since it will be exposed to critters, I'm hoping it'll keep insect damage away. Oh, and the Acadia I think is what keeps the price low on this chair.Note, my wife did get a splinter. The wire-brush finish does make this more likely.Assembly could be tedious. I'd actually bought a 90 degree extension for my drill from the reading I did from others. I didn't end up using it, as I could get drill in just fine. What's really necessary is to have a long socket extension so you can get the allen wrench as near as parallel as you can with the fastener. I ended up piecing things together with my driver set, but if you buy 2 chairs, I would consider cutting 1 of the 2 wrenches so you could chuck it and use your drill/driver. I could see where doing all these by hand could get tedious.I had great apprehension ordering these based on the reviews, the product was however great. No issues and easy to install with an electric drill. I think the installation would be tedious with the manual wrench given, but I used an electric drill and it took 5 minutes per chair. Color is rich and natural. Great product overall. Could be coastal, could be industrial, could be shabby chic, could even be modern.Frustrating experience to say the least. The installation was tedious at best. They instructions have the pieces identified by letters, the pieces themselves are identified by left and right. This is important because there are also a top and bottom to the pieces- something the instructions neglect to point out. The screws are almost impossible to screw in with the provided Allen wrench. If you enjoy 1/8th inch turns with an Allen wrench and it takes 20 minutes to do one screw then this chair is for you. I tried everything. I tried using my compact dewalt drill- wouldn't fit. I tried using a flex hex bit adapter- wouldn't fit. I did use the provided Allen wrench obviously- but come on- the design is horrible. To cap it off, the seat was warped. And the legs are easily a quarter inch off making it incredibly wobbly. Yep- I can't even finish putting it together. Amazon wants me to ship it back- NOPE. I'm not taking it apart because it was so ridiculous to put together. I'll gladly ship it back if they really want it but I'll have to take my saw to it because I refuse spending another minute on it. It's a shame I bought 3 of these things.read many reviews saying these are hard to assemble or wobbly, I brought 4 of them and they are perfect, its simple to assemble if you have a basic tool set at home and think it through first. They are sturdy and well finished - absolutely love them and they match the kitchen cart we brought too. Top quality, thank you for the great product! I assembled the first 1 in 15minutes, the next 3 took me about 6-8minutes each.We had a problem with the last rail on the last chair. The nut embedded in the leg was too far into the wood. As a result, the screw holding the rail could never reach the nut for securing the rail. We tried everything to make it work. Way too much hassle trying to disassemble everything else to return the chairs for one made correctly. Hopefully, the company will make it right with us.I was hesitant to order one of these because of the low ratings. I decided to roll the dice and I ordered one. It was a little difficult to assemble. The screws are time consuming and can be frustrating. However, if you’ve assembled IKEA furniture, you shouldn’t have too much of an issue assembling one of these. Overall I’m pleased with the quality and look of the stool. I’ve orders three more to go at our bar. These chairs are very beautiful and sturdy. Great price for such quality chair. They are packaged extremely well, and all wood are wrapped with foam. I ordered four chairs and none has any issue.Highly recommended for spacious kitchen. Be aware that the chair's arms are at counter height, so you cannot push them under counter entirely.I loved these chairs when we got them (despite the fact that it took me forever to assemble them, since the instructions weren't the best), however that love changed almost instantly. Within two days, and with only being sat in one or two times max, the veneer started to crack on the seats. I couldn't believe how quickly they went from being beautiful stools, to cheap and "used" looking. Thankfully, I was able to return them, but the whole process was a huge waste of time and very irritating (assembling, dis-assembling, replacing for shipping, etc.). I beg you to please skip these chairs and buy something that isn't going to crack the first time your cheeks touch it!
