Steel is the most common fill material due to its durability and cutting action. It is suitable for general purpose applications and can be used on iron, steel, aluminum, brass, copper and wood. Plater brushes are similar to scratch brushes, but constructed of a finer filament/wire diameter of 0.005 or 0.006. They are used for cleaning in the plating and metal finishing process.
